President
Marcus Cooley
Marcus Cooley (he/him) is a 2L from Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. He received his undergraduate degree in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University in 2023 and spent the next two years teaching English through Fulbright Austria. Inspired by European models of consumer protection, he hopes to use the law to fight corporate misconduct and revitalize rural economies. Marcus loves being outside as much as possible and especially enjoys cycling and running around DC.

Vice President of Operations
Madeleine Michael
Madeleine is a 2L from the Boston area. She graduated from MIT in 2021 with a degree in Mathematical Economics. Prior to law school, she spent 4 years as a management consultant, working primarily on tech enablement across regulated industries and state government. She is passionate about plaintiffs' law, and particularly the intersection of corporate accountability and emerging technologies. Outside of school, Madeleine enjoys running, knitting, and adventure.

Treasurer
Connor Alcorn
Connor Alcorn is a 2L from Denver, Colorado. He graduated with a Bachelors in Economics from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, where he researched Colorado housing elasticity and the labor market. He spent his 1L summer interning for the National Labor Relations Board. In his free time he enjoys playing disc golf, cooking, and playing board games.

Evening Rep
Fiammetta (Fia) Brody
Fia is a 2E from St Louis. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2019 with a degree in Anthropology: Global Health and Environment. Before law school, Fia worked as a contact tracer during the Covid-19 pandemic and as an Intensive Case Management Caseworker connecting recently arrived refugees and asylees with the healthcare system. Fia is passionate about health law, access to healthcare and consumer safety. Fia spent her 1L summer at DC Appleseed Center for Law and Justice working on environmental health policy in DC. In her free time, Fia enjoys lifting, biking the Capital Crescent Trail, and going for forest walks with her sister.

Operations Director
Phoebe Dias
Phoebe Dias (she/her) is a 2L from Massachusetts. She graduated from Wake Forest with degrees in Politics and Spanish. After college, she worked in federal civil rights policy at a DC-based civil rights coalition. Now she's interested in civil rights, labor/employment, consumer protection, and antitrust litigation. Outside of school, Phoebe does a lot of vegetarian cooking and is very interested in local D.C. politics!

Operations Director
Patrick Gillespie
Patrick is an incoming 2L, uses he/him pronouns, and was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He did his undergrad at the University of Washington, and he spent three years working as a paralegal at a personal injury firm before law school. He is also on the boards for American Constitution Society and Law Students Defending American Democracy.
Patrick is deeply invested in plaintiffs' law, specifically personal injury, mass torts, and consumer protection. He really wants to demystify the world of personal injury and show everyone just how important the plaintiff's bar is. Outside of work and school, he is a huge sports fan (literally all of them), a frequent swimmer, and a lover of politics/elections.

Supna Kapoor
Supna Kapoor (she/her) is a 3L from San Jose, California. She graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Art History. In addition to be being one of GPLA's Director of Events, Supna is the Legal/Policy Director of GULC's Student Chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) and the Co-Director of Business and Human Rights at Georgetown. Supna is interested in the intersection between human rights and economic justice, and would like to pursue Human Rights, Civil Rights, and/or Employment plaintiff-side work. In her free time, Supna enjoys taking her dog to the dog park or to Rock Creek.

Owen Marburg
Owen Marburg (he/him) is a 2L from the Washington DC area. He graduated from King’s College London with a Bachelor of Arts in War Studies. At the GPLA, he is a Director of Events. Owen is also a fellow of both RISE and the International Institute of Economic Law at Georgetown Law Center. He spent his 1L summer at Guerra LLP, a Texas-based Plaintiffs firm. He will work on mass torts at Wisner Baum this upcoming summer. Owen has lived in 6 countries. In his free time, he enjoys exercise, spending time with friends and family, and gaming.

Director of Events
Olabisi Omoniyi-Alake
Olabisi (she/her) is a 2L hailing from Odenton, Maryland. She earned her B.A. in Public Policy with a minor in Public Leadership and a focus area in Racial & Gender Justice at the University of Maryland, College Park. At GULC, she is the President of the African Law Society and is involved in the Criminal Law Association and Black Law Students Association. Olabisi is interested in human rights litigation and loves walking, reading, knitting, and touring museums.

Director of Communications
Keylla Ortega Benson
Keylla Ortega Benson is a 2L at Georgetown Law. She is an aspiring immigration attorney particularly interested in humanitarian asylum, and immigrant workers' rights. During her 1L year, she interned at Just Neighbors, a non-profit providing legal services to immigrants, refugees, and asylees. Keylla graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in History, specializing in United States Latino Civil Rights history. As an undergraduate, she worked for the National Immigration Forum, helping produce The Forum Daily newsletter.

Operations Director
Sarah Wiener
Sarah Wiener (she/her) is a 2L from Denver. Sarah got her Bachelor's from Tufts University where she studied Philosophy, Political Science, and Colonialism Studies. Before law school, Sarah served in the Biden-Harris Administration as a Policy Advisor in the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention and reviewed materials for President Biden in the Office of the Staff Secretary. At Georgetown, Sarah also leads the Asylum and Immigration Advocacy Spring Break Program, and otherwise can be found in the law school's pool.
